The First Roll (of film)

The First Roll (of film)

This is a short video I shot last night as I set off to the Inverness Darkroom for a bit of an induction/refresher in processing and 2 rolls of film. A 120 roll from the big 617 and a 35mm roll from the Sprocket Rocket.

I was pleased to get something out of each of them. Scanning the 120 film has proved pretty successful too, the 35mm is so far causing me issues (I don’t seem to be able to get a high resolution scan, probably doing something wrong!)

Anyway, here is the video and here are some images!

120 Roll Film, 6×17 Format. Shot on Ilford Pan F and scanned on an Epson Perfection 850 Pro

I have now worked out how to get a high resolution scan of the 35mm film!

This is one from the Lomo Sprocket Rocket… which is a plastic camera with a plastic lens and absolutely no level of control beyond a rudimentary focus and “is it sunny or cloudy” aperture.

It’s ace!

So much fun has been had already. I have another 120 roll ready to process tomorrow, and my have a 35mm from the Nikon F401S too, depending on how I go through the rest of today! I would love to make a print tomorrow of something so I should probably press on with the 35mm film and see where it takes me!
