Description

I love the harbour at Port Soy, I first visited it many years ago with my then girlfriend and the place struck a chord with me!   I am drawn to ancient places, and this harbour fits that bill!  It was granted it’s charter by Queen Mary in 1550 and built around that time in it’s original guise.  This was then replaced in 1692 by a new, stone harbour, which is what you see today!  The village surrounding the harbour and the harbour itself has featured in many films and TV shows since, most recently Peaky Blinders, and remains a draw for many.

This panoramic view of the harbour is currently my most recent.   Unfortunately, I don’t get over to Port Soy as often as I would like, it is quite a drive from Drumnadrochit after all!  It won’t be my last, though, of that I am pretty sure!
